Yes that is going to effect him - All drugs have an effect on people, either short term or long term or both. If he is into running, weed is really bad for him. Weed is bad for people anyway, so I suggest to try and get him off the weed, and if you can't do it alone, ask for help from either a parent or some adult that you trust. Weed and other types of drugs that you smoke in cause damage to your lungs, which could cause tons of different stuff like Asthma or lung cancer and also brain damage.
