I believe that you are supposed to start your birth control pack on the Sunday after your period starts.
You should call your doctor to get clarification of how to take your birth control pills. Birth control pills are supposed to be started on the Sunday after your period begins.
Don't bother worrying, but do use a backup method of birth control, like condoms or abstinence from vaginal sex, until you've taken seven birth control pills in a row correctly.
I was about to post the same question. I'm a Sunday starter, so I should be getting it Wednesday, but instead I got it yesterday (Saturday), but I had missed Thursday and Friday. Is that the reason for the early period, and if so, does that mean I wont get it this coming Wednesday when I am supposed to get it?
Yes, you can. To change the day you start your birth control pills, you will cut short your placebo/sugar pill week or pill free week. For instance, if you normally start the new pack on Sunday and want to start on Wednesday, you'll take your placebo pills on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, discard the old pack, and start the new pack on Wednesday. As long as you don't go more than seven days without an active pill, you will have no interruption in protection.
I recently just restarted birth control after a month of being off of it and was previously on it for a year, during this time I started my period every Tuesday, since restarting birth control would my period still be on a Tuesday if I was a Sunday starter?? :)
Your period usually starts from Tuesday to Thursday after taking the reminder pills.
They try not to have them on or near Church Holidays, such as Holy Thursday. This is more of a matter of traffic control than anything else- likewise, weddings are normally held if in the Church ( which is right and proper) on Saturdays as this does not conflict with Sunday masses, again a traffic control matter.
It depends on what type of pill you are on. If it is a regular pill that lets your have periods monthly, then you most likely will have it Wednesday. If your're taking a birth control that makes you have your period a few times a year, then you probably will not have it Wednesday.
yes u can
Since you changed the patch just after midnight, I suggest you keep changing on Wednesday. Changing earlier (Wed) has less risk than changing on Thursday morning or afternoon.
If you start the birth control pill now, the period is likely to be shorter, although that's not guaranteed.
