Get an Acorn stair lift. I got one for my grandfather about six months ago, and he really likes it. He says it's really comfortable.

It is best to consult with a professional or an occupational therapist to assess your grandmother's specific needs and the layout of her home. They can recommend a stair lift that is safe and suitable for her mobility and living situation. Additionally, consider factors like weight capacity, ease of use, installation process, and maintenance requirements when choosing a stair lift for her.

I need to have a stair lift installed for my elderly mother. I need professional advise and assistance. I am not sure if stair lift will leave enough space on steps for others to go up and down.?

I have had a stair lift installed also for my elderly mother. As long as you have a standard stair case, nothing narrow as in some new townhomes, the track gets installed close to the wall and the chair neatly folds at the bottom of the stair case. There is plenty of room for normal movement about the stairs if you decide to install this device. Please be aware that this is a large investment. If your mom's health declines like my mom's, she was only able to use this device for a few months and then we just had to design a place for her on the lower level of her home. This is an expensive undertaking so think before you purchase and install.
