He knows you're still emotionally attached to him, he just want to make sure you're alright...
If he expressed his reasons for ending the relationship you might want to nurture yourself to understand, try new things, adventurous stuff that will keep ur mind off him.
If it's not working, you should tell him about your feelings again. If he is not emotionally attached to you there would be nothing that you can do except from taking care and enjoy being with yourself.
