My guy friend asked me out and i said no and then he said he doesn't like me anymore but he still acts like he does he keeps on making fun of the guy i like and he is also showing other signs?

Okay I'll add to what was said above, personally i don't know about you, but I'm really shy. I also wouldn't want to ruin or make things awkward by asking him straight out - unless you are absolutely positive that it's worth the risk. Because you really might not like the answer, he might lie as well if he doesn't think you feel the same.

When your friends with them, the 'usual' signs are no help at all really because you are often pass the awkward meeting stage and they are (usually) quite comfortable in your presence. So it isn't unusual for them to approach you and take an interest in how you are and what your doing.

In order to really know it's going to take some observation on your part.

Firstly, does he have lots of friends that are also female? If so, does he treat you exactly how he treats them? How boys act around other girls is key, if they treat you the same it's unlikely he sees you more than just a friend. More sociable men who are friends won't mind hugging you, being close to you physically etc .. but again see how they are around other girls.

If your friend is more shy or 'isn't really like that' he probably won't hug you, make lots of physical contact etc .. the real way of telling is: do they spend more time with you than with their other friends? Are they comfortable spending time alone with you? Boys value time more than most things, if they give up their free time to be around you, especially alone, then they might have feelings for you or just really like your company. Either way - time is a good sign.

If they talk about other girls, this isn't a great. Sometimes they talk about other girls to judge your reaction, or it could be because they just see you as a good friend and would like advice.

Boys in some ways are quite straightforward, but you have to try and think about the reality without letting your own feelings cloud your judgment and reasoning. The fact is: if you have 'the feeling' they like you, you are probably right.

Things to think about:

- Has their behavior changed towards you since you have known them?

- Do they spend more time with you then with their other friends?

- Do they have lots of other female friends?

- Do you have long conversations and have quite a lot in common?

- If you think he does like you, are you going to do anything about it?

- How do you behave around him?

The fact is if you think he likes you, and you feel the same, try to spend more time with him and ask him subtle questions about his opinion of you etc .. but don't ask him out, perhaps hint that you like him - but let him make the overall decision about doing anything about it.
