Slowly get your hamster use to your smell. Put your hand in her cage with a treat and wait, just let her take it. Do that everyday. After 2 days try picking her up. Put her in your lap and let her explore for about 10 minutes. Then put her back in her cage. Do that everyday gradually lengthening the time she spends in your lap until she is comfortable with you. Then bring in another person and repeat.

Almost every young hamster dislikes humans at first. You have to slowly get your hamster used to you. Always talk softly and handle your hamster very gently. However, don't handle your hamster so loosely that you drop it. If you treat your hamster well, he or she will eventually learn to trust you. Hand feed your hamster with seeds or fresh vegetables. Food is a hamster's life, so if you hand feed treats to him or her, he/she will soon become your friend. Play with your hamster often.

Well, I'm not that of an EXPERT, but I think you scared him/her by squeezing it while holding it or suddenly grabbed it, or talked too loud that you scared it. If you did any sudden movements to it in the past, I think that's why it's scared of you. If not, maybe you just didn't take care of it very well, or didn't give it enough food or water. Give it a little house or igloo thingy, so it can feel more safe.

I HOPE THIS REALLY HELPED :) :D :P (:

Offer your hamster treats or little bits of food when you open his/her cage. If he bites you stop offering him/her food and just visit him a lot.
