i have a hermit crab and mine had a baby. So the original hermit crab died and grew out of its shell for the baby.
give them food both freash and salt water
never beause u don't have the proper tide, there r special breeding places where they take the baby hermit crabs when the hatch or they take the eggs
Honey they live in salt water come on.
so when the eggs hatch the baby hermit crabs know where to get the water so they can have it in their shells to breathe.
If You figure this out let me know.... just noticed mom hermit dead but baby hermit inside moms shell.... hmmm lol
Yes you can becausea turtle has a shell as well as a hermit crab. they both live in the water and eat simlar things.Yes you can because a turtle has a shell as well as a hermit crab. They both live in the water and eat simlar things.
Hermit crabs are hatched from eggs, therefore there is no parental figure for the baby hermit crabs. Once the mother lays her eggs, she moves on (similar to turtles).
No. Baby hermit crabs usually live in water for a while after they are born, they later come onto land.
no
Well, a hermit crab can have a baby in there shell.
Hermit crabs will not have a single baby while they are not in the wild. They will never have a baby in captivity. No one really knows why but they do know that for a fact. When hermit crabs are ready to have their baby or babies, they basically do the same things as humans. First they take their shell off and then they try to dig themselves down in the ground a little bit. When those two steps are both done, they just wait until its ready and then do the same as humans.
Baby hermit crabs will feed on plankton until they have grown enough to resemble a hermit crab, when they will start to feed on a normal hermit crab diet.
