My husband's brother is a narcissist as was his mother she has died but brother continues to hold my husband in his web. I want to help but do not understand why he accepts the abusive behavior.?

These people are master manipulators and pathological liers. My guess is he has tricked your husband into focusing on all the things he does for him which he only does to keep him as you say in his web. He probably knows your husband better than you or even your husband knows himself. He can and does probably give one hell of a guilt trip and screams at the top of his lungs for his own needs from your husband (yet in a very subtle sneeky in-direct way). These people can be quite scary and I would bet your husband in one way shape or form is afraid of what can or will happen should he shun his brother. If you resent him or try to bend your husbands ear the N forwill know for sure almost instantly. Rest assured if you try to disrupt the N's conquest with your husband he will retaliate and with low degrading tactics. If the N views you as a threat to his brothers attention your husband is already knee deep in manipulation of thinking less of you as his wife and soulmate. I would educate your husband with all the narcissistic literature you can find so he starts to see his brother as a narcissist first and a blood kin second, he may decide its best to sever the relationship. I would also tell him his brother has an overall negative affect on your relationship together. Good luck!
