Yes just add another coat with the sand in it.

Head to your local pool supply store and ask for the treads that stick on the steps. You may have to drain the pool down a bit to get them on.

Q: My husband and I just finished painting our in groung pool and didnt add the non skid sand to the paint, pool is being dfilled with water and noticed the steps are to slippery, is there anything we can do to keep us from skidding off the steps?
