i know this will sound stupid, but do you have the right key? if so, did somebody recetly break off another key in the ignition switch without you knowing?
Stop imagining
The hose to the locked caliper is colapsing internaly and needs to be replaced.
Hold the steering wheel tight. Don't touch the brakes, unless absolutely necessary. Try to ease the car back onto the pavement, but try to avoid sudden maneuvers.
Ignition is required for an engine to work. Failure of ignition would prevent the engine working.
after incliment weather
Could be a broken Power Steering belt or low fluid level or power steering pump failure.
Take your foot off the accelerator ... do not apply the brakes, and do not make any sudden moves with the steering wheel. After your vehicle has slowed down, you can gain control of it. Approach any water in the roadway with extreme caution - your car is not an army tank that can plow through anything in sight.
make sure the wheel hubs are locked into place
the Ignition coil has most likely shorted out
About 160 feet - just about the distance you need if you slam on the brakes for a sudden stop!
the joints at the connecting rod, pitman arm and steering arm are worn out
