My period was 1 day late and lasted only 2 days I'm also on the pill and this has never happened before What could this be?

This is a chemical imbalance, caused by Progesterone, Estrogen, and b-HCG(Baby hormones contained in 'the pill').
You're period was most likely late because your system had a LOT of these hormones, and thought it was still "pregnant", and didn't detox until later on. The light flow is caused by the fact that your body thought it was pregnant, so it didn't re-build a unterine lining thick enough to be heavier. Because menstruation blood isn't just blood, its endometrium, blood, and plasma.

depends how long the period lasted. but this exact thing happened to me, and i am not pregnant. when you obtained the pill they should have told you that about 80% of women get their period within one week of taking the pill/the expected period.
