Two causes of incontinence could be constipation which is because the rectum is close to the bladder and shares nerves. A urinary tract infection can also be a cause because this irritates your bladder making you feel the need to urinate more often.

Urinary incontinence is a medical condition where a person is unable to control urine outflow resulting in leakage. In many females with age the pelvic floor muscles which keeps the bladder closed weakens. Hence with nominal stress like laughing and coughing leakage occurs. Also in some other women develops functional incontinence due mental illness resulting in skewed recognition and failure of respond to signals to urinate.

In females usually with age the pelvic floor muscles weakens. This is the muscle which keeps the bladder closed. Hence any common stress like laughing and coughing can cause leakage. In some other ladies mental illness given skewed recognition and failure of response to signals whether to urinate or defecate. Hence urine incontinence in females can be because of many reasons.
