The Acadian Expulsion
The 1867 'Constitution Act' instituted confederation of four provinces; Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, as "one Dominion under the name of Canada".
Six provinces are east of Manitoba. From west to east they are Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador.
There are a couple of Canadian provinces that have Kal Tire locations. To name a few Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, British Colombia, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
During WWII Halifax, Nova Scotia was used as a staging port for convoys going to Britain.
New Scotland is Nova Scotia, a separate province from Newfoundland. In 1621 the area of land known then as "Acadia" was changed to "New Scotland" or "Nova Scotia" which is just the Latin translation of "New Scotland". The name "Nova Scotia" first appeared on maps in 1713, following the treaty of Utrecht. In 1784 the population of New Scotland grew to such a size that the territory was split into Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Scotia is the old name for Ireland.
