Santos
A lot of brazilian cities has a cathedral. Cities with a population of 500 thousand inhabitants on average, have their cathedral. São Paulo, Campinas, Sorocaba, Bauru, Santos, São José dos Campos, São Bernardo do Campo, among others cities in the state of São Paulo have a cathedral. Aparecida do Norte, in the state of São Paulo has a special church, larger than a cathedral, which is called Basilica of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, that is the Brazil patroness. All the states' capitals, and all the main cities in every state are proud to have its cathedrals. Cathedrals are large churchs so they are commonly built in big cities. I suppose that there are more than a hundred cathedrals in Brazil.

They are cities by royal charter rather than by possessing a cathedral. In addition, some towns have cathedrals - especially in Wales. These include St Asaph and Brecon. Newport in South Wales has had a cathedral since the 1920s but was only granted city status at the milennium of 2000.

Well, Gothic Cathedrals are gay. They are all black. Nobody likes goths, all they do is loiter and look stupid. Wankers.
Because all of Brazil's major cities were in the coast, and the government was trying to get people to move out of the coast and into brazil, so they built brazilia, and made it our capital
