Increasing the temperature excessively - if an enzyme is heated too much (usually around 40°C) the enzyme will become denatured. This will prevent it from working permanently.

Decreasing the temperature - decreases enzyme activity

Enzyme inhibitors - heavy metals poison enzymes by binding to the active site, preventing the enzyme from binding to the substrate molecule.

The two types of inhibitor for enzymes are, competitive and noncompetitive inhibitors. The competitive inhibitorcompetes with the substrate for access to the active site, thus blocking the normal catalystic activity of the enzyme.

The noncompetitive inhibitor gains access to a site located away from the active site, which is called the allosteric site. Binding of the inhibitor to the allosteric site causes a confirmation to change in the active site, this prevents the substrate access to the active site.

There are actually three types of inhibition Namely: Competitive, non competitive and un competitive inhibitions Competitive inhibition the inhibitor binds the enzyme at the active site making it difficult for the substrate to bind. Non competitive inhibition , the inhibitor binds the enzyme at a site different from the active site which is known as the allosteric site. hence change the size and shape of the enzyme. Uncompetitive binds the complex formed

What are the types of feedback inhibition?

There are two main types of feedback inhibition: competitive inhibition, where an inhibitor competes with the substrate for the active site of an enzyme; and non-competitive inhibition, where an inhibitor binds to a site on the enzyme other than the active site, altering the enzyme's shape and reducing its activity.

What happens when a protein is inhibited?

When a enzyme is inhibited (many proteins are enzymes), it just means that the enzyme will be reduced in its ability to catalyze a reaction. There are a few types of Inhibition like Competitive Inhibition, Noncompetitive Inhibition, and Irreversible Inhibition.

What are the two types of Feedback Inhibition?

In my understanding there are three types of feedback inhibition:SIMPLE: Enzyme inhibited by single end product.CUMULATIVE: More than one end product inhibits the same enzyme. That means that each product exerts partial inhibition and inhibition is cumulative.CONCERTED: More than one end product must bind the same enzyme simultaneously for any inhibition.I !

How is competitive inhibition different from competitive inhibition?

Competitive Inhibition is a substance that binds to the active site in place of the substance while Non-competitive Inhibition is a substance that binds to a location remote from the active site. (:

How is competitive inhibition different from non competitive inhibition?

Competitive Inhibition is a substance that binds to the active site in place of the substance while Non-competitive Inhibition is a substance that binds to a location remote from the active site. (:

Which is correct grammar Two Different types or Two types?

Two types. By saying there are two 'types' you are already stating that there are 2 differentthings and so the word 'different' isn't necessary.
