I found it, called Sex Drive (2008)
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I can think of several things : In no particular order : - low engine coolant level , or no engine coolant because of a leak - engine thermostat sticking closed - restricted ( dirty ) radiator - water pump not circulating the engine coolant because of an impeller or belt problem - a problem with the engine cooling fan not running so air flows through the radiator any body else have any ideas ?
You need to double check that coolant, white smoke is a sure sign of a blown head gasket, especially when added to an overheating issue.
White smoke is coolant burning off. You have a coolant leak or the engine is overheating. Have this looked at by a professional ASAP, and stop driving the car.
Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Radiator not adequate for engine load? if it is a manual transmission your placing a good aMOUNT OF WORK ON THE ENGINE TO CLIMB UP AND DOWN on the mountains and not to include the transmission only suggestion is nice and slow or just upgrade your coolant system
have the engine timing checked. if the timing is wrong the engine will overheat, are you loosing coolant?is the fan working, is the water pump working?
sounds like your thermostat is stuck, assuming I read you post right...I read your question as if you've replaced the waterpump, and something about replacing some coolant lines, but are not getting any coolant flow so you engine is overheating while the radiator and coolant lines stay cool to the touch. Sounds like either a major clog in the system or a stuck thermostat to me.
i am not sure you give me some ideas
Stop driving this car immediately. Take it to a professional. You have an intake plenum that is possibly leaking or is cracked. Severe engine damage can occur if you continue to drive this car. Coolant can enter the combustion chamber which will destroy this engine.
If the engine is over-heating at the time the coolant is spewing (great word by the way!), see "Related Questions" below for more ideas on causes. The water pump is definitely a prime suspect / cause...
My guess is that the Coolant Thermostat is malfunctioning. It should be replaced. It is found, usually, at the engine end of the top radiator hose. Two bolts hold in place. A new one us about 7 or 8 dollars. I rate it as an easy fix. Good luck.
You need to make sure that your radiator fan is working properly. Some are fixed, some have a clutch that engages them when the engine heats up. Watch your fan when the engine is hot to see if it functions correctly.
95 aurora runs normal temp, but coolant res low with dash signaling low coolant.not overheating but, reservoi low.driping coolant slightly after a run.????????????????this happens starting with cold car and full reservoi.any ideas?
