Most young women dream of their wedding day and have a vision of how they want their wedding (which seldom works out exactly the same as their vision) and are much more romantic regarding the wedding, whereas the male is more likely to be nervous and grows tired easily of all the ups and downs of planning for the wedding. Arguments are bound to break out from the stress. Arguments they may have include:

  • The bride dragging her future husband around to different stores to pick out what they want for gifts and put their name on the wedding registry. Most men do not like shopping for long periods of time and couldn't care less about what pattern of china his bride to be wants and would rather she pick out the gifts.
  • Either the bride or groom may complain about who has been asked to the wedding and who has not, and there may be conflict between not only them but also between the groom's parents and the bride's parents.
  • Arguments within the family about the wedding, such as the bride's parents and the groom's parents not getting along.
  • Arguing over which set of parents pays for what in preparation for the wedding.
  • They may argue at the choice of Best Man the groom may want. The future groom is not always interested in what maid of honor or bridesmaids the bride chooses to be in the wedding party.
  • The biggest problem with some couples is the stag or bachelor party put on by the future groom's friends. They may take him to a strip club, and the bride may have a problem with this, and the argument begins.

There is a high percentage of young couples preparing to get married who threaten to break off the relationship and cancel the wedding. This boils down to either cold feet or stress, and most couples will still go through with the wedding.

I think most of the arguments might be about the budget (money) and the guest list.
