The Yukon got its name from the Kutchin Indian name meaning "great river"
Chickamauga - the name meant 'River of Death'. (But it was not the only river whose name could be translated that way.)
The largest river in the Australian Capital Territory is the Murrumbidgee River. Two more rivers in the ACT are the Cotter River and the Molonglo River.
There is no Province of Yukon River. The Yukon territory is in Canada's northwest corner and name is connected to the aboriginal name for the major river flowing through it and Alaska.
The longest river in the Australian Capital Territory is the Murrumbidgee River, with a total length of 59km.
