If the parents have the same last name, then that name should be given to the child as well. If the parents have different last names, then the child can be given a hyphenated version of both parents' names. In some states, your choices may be limited.
NO. In most states the father of the child must be present at the time of birth to sign the birth certificate as the father of the child. It could, in reality, be any man who would be willing to take legal responsibility for the unborn child. A child will only automatically get the father's name if the two parents are married. Even if the father pays child support, the mother is not obigated to change the child's last name to that of the father.
That decision is up to the parents. There is no law that covers this situation if the mother has not taken her husband's name in marriage.
no the child will not lose that parents name. i currently have 2 children i'v lost my rights to and they still carry my name. the only way they can lose your last name is if you sign saying you accept the name change, nobody can just strip somebody of there legal born name.

Parents pick their children's names because it is their child. Who else would pick it for them? Some parents take ideas from family, friends, colleges, ect., but they parents must raise the child and it is theirs, so they get to name it. Also, if it were up to someone else, the parents might not like the name chosen. Since the child is now part of their family, it is important that the parents like the name and are proud to be assoictaed with that child's name in their family.
Children often sleep with their parents because they are scared of the dark, monsters under the bed, monsters in the closet, they saw a bug in their room, or just because they're lonely. The average child stops this around age 6, but if it continues, don't worry. They will eventually grow out of it. But if you get worried, take them to mental therapy.
Amindee very well might be the name of a person. Amindee can be used for a male or a female depending on the preferences of the parents naming the child.
