I can give you few because based on our lesson, arthropods have 5 subclasses: These are the crustaceans, arachnids, insects, millipedes and centipedes.

Examples of crustaceans are crab,lobster, shrimp and crayfish. Examples of Arachnids are Spiders , mites , scorpions and ticks. Insect Examples: lady bug, grasshopper, housefly , mosquito and butterfly. Of course examples of millipedes and centipedes are obvious.

A complete list of arthropods would not be possible in this context as there are over 1,100,000 species described (and millions estimated yet to be described).

Under the arthropoda phylum are subphyla Chelicerata, Myriapoda, Crustacea, and Hexapoda. (There is also an extinct class Marrellomorpha and an the extinct Trilobite subphylum). The chelicerata, like spiders, scorpions, mites, etc., get their name from having appendages before the mouth; myriapods like centipedes and millipedes characterized by a high count of body segments and legs; crustaceans like crabs, shrimp, woodlice characterized by their biramous (two-part) limbs and a nauplius larval form; hexapoda (with the class Insecta, the insects) named for their consolidated thorax with only three pairs of legs.
