In short, all types of bacteria can call disease. Gram negatives - E coil and P. aeruginosa are two examples. Bacillus anthracis, the agent of anthrax, is gram positive. And just for fun lets not forget the spirochetes, which don't hold a gram stain and cause disease like syphilis and Lyme disease.
