Probably the most interesting sights during the Jurassic Period would be the plethora of dinosaurs. The world was dominated by these creatures at that time.
Conifers were the dominant trees during the Jurassic. Some types that existed at the time include Auracaria in the Southern Hemisphere and Sequioa in China. There were also cycads and gingkoes. Other plants include ferns, seed ferns, horsetails, and mosses.
to name a few, Disneyland, Wonderland and Jurassic park...
Hugh Hamshaw Thomas has written: 'On the cuticles of some recent and fossil cycadean fronds' -- subject(s): Cycads, Cycads, Fossil, Fossil Cycads
The Jurassic Period lasted from 201 to 145 million years ago. There are far too many dinosaurs that lived during that time to list, but here are some examples:ApatosaurusDiplodocusBrachiosaurusCamarasaurusAllosaurusTorvosaurusCeratosaurusOrnitholestesStegosaurusScelidosaurusCamptosaurusDryosaurus
It depends. If Seismosaurus hallorum proves to be really a Diplodocus, than that would be the longest known specimen, with a length of about 33 meters. Otherwise, the longest known Diplodocus is about 27-30 meters long.
Cycads are a group of trees that have very large cones. They are a lot like conifer trees.
The late Jurassic Period, some 165 million years ago.
Ultrasauros dinosaur fossils date from the late Jurassic period. Utahraptor dinosaur lived during the early Cretaceous period.
Pterodactyl was a type of small pterosaur, or flying reptile. They lived during the late Jurassic in Europe. At that time, Europe was a collection of semiarid islands surrounded by shallow seas. There was probably some sort of forest on the islands, with small conifers, cycads, ferns, and ginkgoes.
