The predators of guinea pigs are, birds. They do NOT like it when you pick them up, when you stand. I mean, if you walk to their cage standing, they will be afraid thinking you are a bird coming down to get them, so they panic, and run, and squeal. So craw when you walk to their cage, and they should be just fine with you.
