Yes, you can put MP3 files on a CD, but the computer will only be able to read them, not a CD player or DVD player. You would be better off by putting those files onto a program that allows you to burn CD's such as iTunes or Windows Media Player, and add them to your library and then burn them onto the CD that way, so your CD player will be able to read the format.
you will need a program to burn mp3s to audio CD. try NERO. it is easy to access.

Raw CD audio can be played, although some players have MP3 functionality. You need a burning program (encodes music to a CD) to make a proper CD, because copying the files onto a CD will not work.
Put a blank disc (CD-R) into the CD burner. Using iTunes software, create the desired playlist of M4P files to be converted. On iTunes select "Preferences", click "Advanced", then click "Burning", select "Audio CD" for format and click "OK". Select the playlist and click "Burn Disc". In iTunes open the CD and click "Convert Selection to MP3". The files will then be converted and saved to the computer in the MP3 format.
You need to burn it on a cd 1.plug it in to your comuter then put a disk in then select what songs you want.
