You can unscrew the end cap. Then the spring will come out and the spike itself. You can release the spike by pressing the firing button and pulling it out. It consists of 3 parts, the housing, the spring and the spike. Hope it helped ;)
first you take the clip out -then take a bic pen or other object and push in the firing pin (where the hammer would be) and lift the slide up- clean the the barrel-and parts leave the spring on the barrel and slide the frame onto it then slide the firing pin and spring onto the unit until it locks-easy
