if the sprockets and gears aren't chipped or cracked theres no need to repalce them. the timing belt is usually what causes the problems anyway.

Your speed sensor is faulty replace it...
The car could be jumping when you switch gears for a number of different reasons. You might need to replace something.
You probobly need to replace the clutch.
When you increase horsepower, there's typically a torque increase which goes along with it. You could also replace your rear end gears with taller gears.

Remove everything in front of the timing cover. Loosen the oil pan. Remove the timing cover. Replace the chain and gears by lining up the dots on the old gears and installing the new gears with the same alignment. Clean everything real good and put it all back together.
