The easiest way to layer is to open three separate FarmTown windows taking them each offline. You can right click on the FarmTown logo and select "open in new window." Once you have three open, make sure they are all off line.
Make sure your farm is completely cleared and starting in the first window, start by placing your first set of plots with the plow tool (4x4) and cover the whole area you want layered. I always start in a corner to keep my rows even and straight. Once the whole farm is covered click the game SAVE in FarmTown game window.
Complete this process in the second game window by lowering the first row you place about a quarter of an inch completing rows until all is covered except for about one quarter from top. Click the game SAVE in FarmTown game window.
Complete the third game window lowering about one third to one half inch. Once completed, click SAVE in FarmTown game window and close all windows. Open Farmtown once again, making sure you are online and you should have a layered farm!
