Network traffic going to the same computer but different applications is sorted by port number. How about two instances of the same application - Like two browsers. Don't they both connect to port 80?

They can simultaneously connect to remote port 80, while networking layer of the operating system presents each outgoing connection with local random port from range of 1024 to 65535.
