THE ENGINE CAUGHT OF FIRE JUST BRIEFLY, NO APPRENT DAMAGE BUT WHEN I CHECKED THE DIP STICK THE DIP STICK SMELT BURNT, AND HAD CRUD / TRASH, ON IT. I CHECK THE REFILL AND INSIDE I SAW CAKED UP OILY LOOKEN MUD. NO INDICATION LIGHT EVER CAME ON TO LET ME KNOW THAT THE LEVELS WERE LOW AND THAT THE ENG. LIGHT WAS NOT ON. WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS ACTION? Sounds like the engine was run way too long with out an oil change.
