check the fuse first then for broken connection
If the fuel pump has failed it will not even start. Check the fuel pump fuse, and relay. If they are good and the pump is still not running, suspect the pump has failed. If however the car is running a low on power, replace the fuel filter and air filter. See where you stand after that.

If you're not getting power to the fuel pump on a 1991 Cadillac Brougham, it could be due to a faulty fuel pump relay, a blown fuse in the fuel pump circuit, or a problem with the ignition switch. Additionally, issues with wiring or connectors leading to the pump may also disrupt power. Checking these components systematically can help identify the source of the problem. If necessary, a multimeter can be used to test for voltage at the pump connector.
