The accepted practice is 2 spaces between sentences in any writing.
In the days of typewriters, the standard approach was to leave a single space between words and a double space between sentences. Since the popularity of computer word processors and digital printers, the standard has shifted to a single space between words and a single space between sentences.
Unless otherwise indicated, as in a particular assignment, there should be two spaces between sentences in order to follow proper guidelines. Words should only be separated by one space.
ex. Double spacing is when, instead of writing your sentences with no spaces in between them, you add a space between your sentences, like this.
I work for a Graphics Company and always used 2 spaces between sentences; now I am told only one when the article must be printed.Help?

I always use two spaces because that is how I was taught many years ago, but WikiAnswers always shortens it to one space when I send my answer. See? They just did it again. I think two spaces helps to separate the sentences, but perhaps it is no longer observed anymore, and one space is considered enough in the Digital Age.
To end one sentence and begin another, a period must be inserted between the two, along with one to two spaces.
When you're typing it's one space but when you're writing using paper and pen then that depends on your handwriting.
