What is the location of OD Button of Camary Car?
The OD button means "Over Drive", off or on.
sounds like you need to replace the OD switch in the shifter.
if OD button is disabled, the transmission will not shift into overdrive. your car will be running with one less gear, and using more fuel
What does the OD button due on the 86 Nissan I just got the car with no manual. Also how much does a new radio cost, that doesn't work either.
there is a button on the gearshift or on 1 of the shifter rods on steering column
There is a small button on the shift. Press it on or off position. A light in the instrument panel (O/D) will light up. It prevents the car from going into over drive mode.
on the side of the shifter there is a od button
i had the same problem, mines a 89 too. that being said, mine has the switch on the Console,Not the shifter, and i discovered i had to run a power supply to the middle pole, then switch works fine. i did this by running a Good wire from fusebox to switch, from Power lead that Only comes on when car is running. otherwise,it will stay on all the time n kill your battery. anyone know what that button on the Side of the shifter knob is actually for?
The OD light on dash stands for Overdrive. There is a button (usually) on the end of the turn signal lever. Some cars the button or switch is on the dash. If you push the button/switch the light will change to OD or OD on (may even go out) then you will be in overdrive. Being in overdrive is good except for steep hills or pulling a heavy load.
On your gear stick there is a button. This is the overdrive. Press it again and the OD (overdrive) will come on.
On the shifter handle.
OD means Overdrive. The light is on because you have disengaged the Overdrive. The button is on the shift lever on the side. Push that button to engage the overdrive.
