OK, I have a better picture of what is going on now. Some people with RA are known to have the problems with hearing that you are describing, and it is something that is chronic and there is no known cure. With that being said, hearing problems are not necessarily a common feature of RA. My impression in your case is that this may be Enbrel related. You were on a large dose when this started, presumably to control your RA symptoms. Enbrel is known to cause swollen lymph nodes and there is a good supply of lymph nodes in the neck. Perhaps your swollen lymph nodes may be putting pressure on your ear canal and middle ear and causing the symptoms that you are experiencing. When you go in for your next shot, inform your physician of what is happening. That way you have a physician that is able to examine your ear and hopefully confirm what I believe is happening. If this is the case, it can be treated. Best of luck to you. If you have no other questions, please click 'accept'. Otherwise, I am at your disposal, just respond to this question. Thank you.
