Time Capsules
OS X Leopard includes a backup utility called Time Machine (rather than Time Capsule). Apple's Time Capsule is a piece of hardware, purchased separately from your Mac computer, which Time Machine can use as external storage for your backups. In addition Time Capsule can act as a wi-fi base station.
Time Machine: It creates incremental backups of files that can be restored at a later date.
The program is called "Time Machine". You can set it up in System Preferences
It's called "Time Machine". It's just basic back up software, it doesn't make a boot able copy of it. You have to use an external disk.
The files which store the copy of your original data are called backup files. In windows backup files are created by NTbackup utility and windows backup and restore utilities. These backup files have .bkf file extension.
Windows has a built-in backup feature. When you first purchase your machine you should immediately make a backup using the backup utility program and keep this in a safe place. If you have not done this, there is a feature called create and restore which will backup your computer to the last restore point. This is not a complete backup but it is helpful.
Backup is anything by which you can produce redundancy.. You can either copy data to FDD, HDD, CD or anywhere else..
I THINK.... That there is no .exe for it but just a lot of separate files making the utility up in this file locationVista: C:\Windows\winsxs\BackupCorrect me if I am wrong...Actually the correct answer to what is the program file name of the windows backup utility depends on what Windows OS, you are using. If it's Vista, then it's the Backup and Restore Center which handles all files that can be backed up. For Windows 2000/XP, then its a program file called Ntbackup.exe. From there you just click Start, then All Programs, then go to Accessories, then go to System Tools, and then click Backup. Hope this is the information you're looking for.JRay25
a leopard
Starting with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), Macs come with a built-in backup system called "Time Machine. The first time you hook up an external hard drive, your Mac will ask you if you want to use it as a backup volume. If you click the "yes" button, you've started a backup that will backup your whole machine. Then every hour it will look for new or changed files and add them to the backup.
