no coolent low oil
There are three main parts of dg sets one is avr and anotther one is coolent oil level
check the coolent level and check the inside the oil filler cap for a milk like liquid mixed with the oil , the coolent level will fall after each days running and check with the dip stick to see if milky stuff is in the sump as well , this will tell you that your head gasket has blown , hope this helps , Peter
One of many reasons, blown head gasket. Coolent getting into crankcase(oilpan).
you may have a bad head gasket its letting oil seep into your coolent have your heads checked for warpage and check the block cracks too.
Overheating can come from many causes: Low radiator coolant, broken fan thermostat, broken fan, low oil, worn-out water pump, too much grime on the engine, or clogs in the coolent or oil system. If your Protege is turbo-charged, you may want to check that system as well. Aftermarket items added to increase engine power can also cause overheating if the oil and coolent systems aren't also upgraded.
If the plastic coolent tank on the passenger side fender well is empty, Then it needs coolent
3 diff. signs. check the Anti-freeze/coolent tank and see if theres oil in it, or check the oil and see if theres water in it. Or a big black cloud shoots out the tail pipe when it is running,
if the coolant light is flashing red it means it's overheating (DO NOT DRIVE), check coolent level "if level is fine", it may be your thermastat. if coolent level is low check your coolent hoses. (allow engine to cool before checking)
Check your coolent level! Yours is low and the on/off heat gives you a warning that your going to run out of coolent and trash your engine.
Is it just water or is there coolent in it. If it's just water than it could be condensation from your A/C. If it has coolent in it than your heater core has a leak in it
