You must remove the Timing chain cover and engine girdle.

removal of one cylinder is EXTREMELY odd and probally not needed. To do the head must come off, timing chain, oil pan, and crankshaft
Back of the engine, below the intake manifold. To reach it, you have to be under the car with your head near the firewall. Look up over the rear of the oil pan.
