The oldest cell phone that was made, was unnamed. It was made by Martin Cooper in 1973. He used this phone to call his rival at AT&T from the streets of New York City. Ten years after the making of this first phone, the DynaTac, the world's first consumer-use phone was released for $3,500 per phone.

The Dynatac weighed 30 ounces, and looked like a large white brick.
