When Jacob finds out he is a werewolf, we has to say away from Bella for a while, so Bella was hurt that she was all alone.

I don't think anyone hurts Jacob in New Moon, unless you count the fight with Paul, but Jacob wasn't hurt. In Eclipse he is severely hurt by a New Born whilst trying to protect Leah. All of the one side of his body is crushed and broken.
