On Pokemon pearl you cant get dialga cos it is on diamond but you can get giritina why cos it is the main Pokemon on platinum?

Well Pearl was made before Platinum so Platinum probably wasn't being planned until after the release of Diamond and Pearl. Also this happened in Ruby and Sapphire, where you could catch Rayquaza in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. I don't think anyone but the creators know exactly why Giratina was in put in Pearl too, but maybe it was just another legendary they put in the game. (Legendary may not be quite the word if there are more than 30 legendaries in all. Half those being in Platinum.)
