No I can't answer this, but I have the same question. The battery has been diconnected and the reset code is doing nothing. The 2003 TDI Jetta does not have an option to use the radio speakers for a phone... so what's up?
I have the code just need how to program
the radio code is on the back of the radio. take the radio out and you can see it.
how can i find the code for my 2000 firebird monsoon stereo. The theft lock code
Your local dealer has to pull the radio and hook it to a computer to find the code. It cannot be done with the radio in the vehicle.
most car dealerships will help with unlock codes ... just call the jetta dealer and ask for service ..it will be a 3-5 min phone conversation with you sitting in the car . as they walk you through it
To enter the radio code for a 2003 VW Jetta, first turn on the ignition and then the radio. The display will show "SAFE" or "LOCK." Use the preset buttons (1-4) to input the code, pressing the corresponding button for each digit. After entering the full code, press the "MODE" or "OK" button to confirm and unlock the radio.
Each stock radio has it's own unique code. Take your VIN# to the dealer and they can get it for you. I've had it done twice for free.
To find the radio code for a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, you can check the owner's manual, as the code is often listed there. If the manual is unavailable, the code may also be found on a card that came with the original paperwork. Alternatively, you can retrieve the code by contacting a Volkswagen dealership or using an online service that requires your vehicle's VIN and radio serial number.
YOU CAN CALL VOLKSWAGON RETAILER AND GET THE CODE FOR YOUR CAR
The Code is on the Radio, or in the Spare tirewell! if it is not on the radio, remove the radio, call dealer and give them the radio serial number and your VIN number. Some Dealers like to charge for this, most do not.
Two solutions for you depending on radio model. With the VIN of your VW car and the serial of the radio in hand - call a VW dealership service dept. They should be able to tell you code free of charge. (My car was purchased used and when the battery was changed the radio locked itself into SAFE mode. I pulled the radio out (with radio tools purchased at the local CT for $8), got the serial and called a random VW place and they gave it to me.) There is also a post I saw on a VW forum that if the radio is a Monsoon that the last 4 digits of the serial off the radio IS the code. I'm about to test that theory later this week. Hope one of the two work for you :)
The radio code for a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta is typically a four-digit number that can be retrieved from the vehicle's manual or obtained from a Volkswagen dealership. If you don't have the code, you may need to provide your vehicle identification number (VIN) and proof of ownership to the dealership for assistance. Additionally, some aftermarket radios may have different code retrieval methods. Always refer to the specific documentation for your radio model.
