No, you can see them driving to work and going inside but then it does this "Rabbit hole" Thing where the Sim just disappears inside the building.
You can watch them go into the building and loads of noise will come from inside that building.
there is only four spots to save your work. The Sims 3 has great graphics but you cant save a lot of work. sometimes it makes my laptop freeze and shuts down..

when you play on the sims 2 and you play on it after you have downloaded directx9 it will not work. i will go and try directx10 and see if it stops my the sims2 from freezing after you have just made the family.

the hair probably doesn't work because you didn't download the meshes that go with them. and if you want to see your custom sims around the neighborhood then move them into a house in your neighborhood
