this describes many problems very poorly, it all depends on your system setup and what mods you have installed also depends on your .ini configuration, heres what i'd do, if the game worked before, or works and then goes black after a little while try reinstalling -the game -your graphics drivers -directX 9 if none of these work or if the game goes straight to black on starting up i'd try and tweak the setup file found in your documents/my games/oblivion/oblivion.ini open this and then try changing some settings there are plenty of online guides, thirdly if you are on an older system you may find running oblivion hard, but there are mods to help, firstly upgrade to the 1.2 patch, then download the 1.2 version of a program called "Oldblivion" install this and the click this instead of oblivion, (it starts oblivion with a different shader model and so enables an older system to run the game, I run oblivion on a geforce FX 5200, and i get around 35fps...
Note, I had a simiar problem to it and it was because the minimum draw distance was set to around 120000 meaning it wouldn't draw anything closer that this and nothing furthar than my maximum draw distance, which was 110000 hence it draws nothing and everything goes black. also there is an option in the ini file to turn off auto draw distances, this means the draw distances change depending on framerate.....
unfortunately i cant help more because your question wasnt very descriptive, be more precise when you describe it ie, what settings have you got on and what mods do you use (if any) also what is your system spec, all of these help to give better answers
Skyrim was just released in November so you won't find another version. Skyrim is the carry on of the game Oblivion. Oblivion is basically the previous version of Skyrim.
No, you can't have babies in any version of the game.
You can't. Altair's outfit doesn't exist in default Oblivion. People have added it to their game with mods that can be found on websites like Oblivion Nexus and Planet Elder Scrolls. Unfortunately, mods can only be accessed and downloaded on the PC version of the game.
Other than the ugly smudge beard you can give your character at the creation screen, a couple mods exist, which allow you to "Equip" beards. www.tesnexus.com
The best horse without the game of the year addition is the Black horse.
