You need to have your brakes looked at.
On the Jetta, the dashboard warning light with a circle and a box above it is indicating that there is a problem with the battery. This light also indicates a burned out bulb in the headlamps, taillights, or blinkers.

The red exclamation point in a circle is the parking brake indicator.

The circle with 3 broken lines either side is almost universally a symbol for "breaks". If I remember correctly, on a Vectra it's the ABS warning light, and means that the ABS system has failed it's self-diagnostic test, and has turned it self off.
It is your abs system (air bag system) warning light or it is your brake pad wear warning light (depends the year of your van).
The warning light in the bottom area of your tachometer that looks like a circle ( gear ) with an exclamation mark in the middle is your " check transaxle " ( transmission ) warning light . If the light stays on take your vehicle in for servicing
Front disk breaks pads need replaced.
It's the TPMS warning light. "Tire pressure monitoring system"
It means warning. Check your owners manual first. Usually its Brakes or Brake fluid.
Ur Brakes need to be changed.
It definately means you have bulb out...this just happened to me and my turn signal/brake light is out.
