Their supples had to be shipped 3,000 miles by sea from England.

The Continental Army were fighting for a big cause, their freedom and independence, which motivated them to fight hard and smart to win the war. Hope that helps.
A strength of Britain was they had a trained Army. A weakness was they were fighting over something that was completely pointless. The patriots strength was they had people who were dedicated to making themselves free. And a weakness was they didn't have quit as many people or weapons as Britain did. Everyone deserves to be free. (Unless they murdered some one)
No army fought with the British Army. Or if you meant which army the British Army fought as enemies, it's the German army. (I think - 80% Sure)well actually there were the itailians , and Germans attacking usand before that we had the Russiansright now we have terreristsand back in 1812 we had those Americans fighting usbtw nobody one because nothing was gainedand theres probly more ,, those wer of the top of my headAnswerNumerous armies fought with the British Army throughout history; check out any war involving the British and you'll find out who those were.
Not only was the British Army one of the world's most well-trained armies at the time, but they often had the advantage of numerical superiority. Washington's defeat at the Battle of Trenton showed this weakness. In later conflicts, the colonials adopted many tactics of skirmishing and guerrilla warfare that had been effective in the French and Indian War.
Call of Duty 2 is a shooting game where there are 4 different soldiers fighting during World War II. One soldier is on the Red Army, 2 soldiers in the US Army and 1 soldier in the British Army.
Napoleon's army was one of the strongest Europe had ever seen. His greatest weakness, however, lay in his navy. A powerful navy yes, however, he could not outmatch the British navy. In fact for several hundred years up until WW 2, the British navy was the most powerful one in the world. Only the US navy was able to surpass it.
The same thing that's happened to the US in Vietnam. The British army was fighting a war thousands of miles away from home. The soldiers had no real attachment to the land, and were not familiar with it. The Americans however, were fighting for their homestead, and knew the ground. Home-team advantage, and they simply wanted it more. The political mood in the UK at the time was one that the US colonies were not worth committing to a major conflict for. We were to busy worrying about the french and spanish. We wanted to keep the land, but were willing to let it go. After the US gained independence, which country signed loads of trade deals with it?? The UK. Quite simply, the US army and militia had a home field advantage and they wanted it. Also, the British government did not consider the war a war worth fighting.
