A gyroscope.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Control Centre. The fifth circle is called Orientation Lock. When it is on it keeps the screen from rotating, when it is off the screen rotates.
Yes, perhaps one of the simplest and best evidences.
Precession is a change in the orientation of the rotational axis of a rotating body. It can be used to describe the rotation of everything from a simple gyroscope to the rotation of a planet. 420
The earths rotation about its axis has no affect on the orbit of satellites about earth. Only their relative velocities and positions are relevant, not their orientation
The earth is rotating around the sun. Therefore the position of other stars (although millions of light years away) are in different orientation to that of the earth.
The question is unclear. If you are asking about a coin placed upside-down in a display holder, I wouldn't think that there would be any sort of premium attached to it (above the value of the coin were it placed correctly). If you are asking about a coin produce in medal orientation rather than coin orientation, you would have something very interesting and should show it to a coin dealer for further evaluation. US coins are produced in "coin orientation" (if you were looking at the obverse of the coin right-side up, and turned it to the reverse by rotating around a horizontal axis, the reverse would also be right-side up) as versus "medal orientation" (if you were looking at the obverse of the coin right-side up, and turned it to the reverse by rotating around a horizontal axis, the reverse would be up-side down) common in some other countries.
Across the width. Portrait - width < height Lanscape width > height Typically achieved by rotating paper though a right angle!
In two ways. If you could observe it from outside the solar system you would see that it rotates on its own axis every day. Second is something known as Earth's precession, in which the orientation of Earth's axis moves in a circular fashion, completing one cycle every 26,000 years. Earth also orbits the sun, but that is not a matter of Earth rotating.
Double click the home button. Then swipe to the right (so it goes onto the music control buttons on the left) and on the right is a rotating symbol. Press it and it locks the orientation. This is only On the iPod touch 4g. I do not know about previous versions sorry.
How do you rotate text box in Adobe Acrobat Professsional 8?" I ran into this problem recently. I was trying to edit a pdf with a number of schematics. One of the schematics was rotated 90 degrees. I wanted to inserted text box labeling the drawing but needed to rotate the text box so it faced the same way as the drawing did. I don't believe you can rotate a text box in Adobe Pro 8.0. However, you CAN rotate a page and then insert a text box once the page orientation is the same as the orientation of the text you want to insert. My solution: instead of rotating the text box (like you would do in MSWord), rotate the page. Once you have finished making changes, you can re-rotate it back to its original orientation and the text box will move right along with the page. Hope this helps!
A rotating bezel is a feature that is found in a diver's watch. It works by measuring the elapsed time and indicating how much time is left before a diver runs out of oxygen.
