This doesn't work for all people. If your son is not responding well to it then try another avenue. Some people, like my son, cannot take stimulants at all. They give him headaches and increased moodiness/anger flashes. There are also other options like Intuniv, which helps mostly with impulsivity, and is a totally different class. Back him back down to 18 mg and see if he is doing better, if not get him off and try something else. Kat, RN
