Try changing the thermostat.
It may or may not, block heaters are not factory installed unless special ordered.
A freeze plug is located in the side of an engine block that is supposed to protect the block against freeze damage.
Which one? the are on the side of the block and sometimes behind the transmission. The only time they would need to be changed is if they are leaking. Unless you are installing a heater.
There are freeze plugs on each side of the block, their are also freeze plugs on the front and back of the block.
If it is a freeze plug it would not have threads. Freeze Plugs are designed to pop out of the block should the water in the block freeze. This could not happen if the plug was threaded. Hope This Helped.
On sides of engine block.
Freeze plugs are located on the block 2in front 2in rear 2 on each side of block
On the sides of the engine block and possibly on the rear of the block.
No, they are just called that since they protect from damage if block freezes.
The heads themselves have NO freeze plugs in them. But the block/engine has 8 freeze plugs in it.
in the engine block
take a large screw driver and a hammer tap the old freeze plug in the block, replace it with a rubber freeze plug.tighten the rubber freeze plug with a wrench..the metal freeze plug that you pushed inside the block will not hurt anything..hope this helps!!!!
