Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy signed Panic! To his label, Decaydance. Panic was one of the first bands he signed to his label.
Fall Out Boy was first. Panic was signed by Fall Out Boy's bassist in 2005 while Fall Out Boy was recording their 4th album.

they did a while ago... there are now two separate bands, The Young Viens and Panic! at the Disco. the new panic! is going more towards the music from their first album and The Young Viens are going more for the sound from pretty odd.
