I don't know of any common cell that uses oxygen gas. The cells that I know of use dissolved oxygen delivered by the bloodstream.
It USES oxygen.
The plant put back oxygen into the atmosphere and the humans (us) use the oxygen to breathe Oxygen is used by all living things as well as playing a part in oxidization Fire corrosion etc
part of the oxygen group....gas, nonmetal...

oxygen
Oxygen gas is the gas present in air that takes part in a combustion reaction. It acts as the oxidizing agent in the reaction.
The process that produces oxygen gas in an oxygen cell is electrolysis. In this process, an electrical current is passed through water (H2O), splitting it into oxygen gas (O2) and hydrogen gas (H2). This method is commonly used in devices like fuel cells and electrolyzers for various applications.
Basically the chloroplasts are involved with producing oxygen gas as they capture light as they are a assumed.
The reaction between hydrogen gas and oxygen gas forms water, with 2 moles of hydrogen gas reacting with 1 mole of oxygen gas. This means that twice as much hydrogen gas is required compared to oxygen gas for the reaction to occur completely.

Oxygen.
Oxygen is a colorless, odorless gas essential for life. It is used in respiration by most organisms, as well as in combustion reactions, metal smelting, and medical applications like oxygen therapy and medical gas mixtures.
