Liquid particles are closely arranged but they can move around each other. Solid particles are closely arranged and can only vibrate about a fixed position. Gas particles are far apart from each other and can move about in any direction.

Does rice follow the particle model?

Yes, rice follows the particle model as it is made up of small individual grains that are arranged randomly and can move independently of each other. Each grain of rice is considered a particle in the model.

What is the liquid particle?

Liquid particle stays in group

State three things the particle model says about liquid?

The particle model suggests that particles in a liquid are in constant motion but are still close together, with weaker attractions compared to solids. It also proposes that liquid particles can flow and take the shape of their container, while maintaining a definite volume. Additionally, the particle model indicates that the particles in a liquid have more freedom of movement compared to those in a solid, but less compared to those in a gas.

Is it true that the speed of a particle can affect whether it can escape a liquid?

Yes, the speed of a particle can affect whether it can escape a liquid. This is because the escape of a particle from a liquid involves overcoming intermolecular forces that hold the particle in the liquid. If the particle has sufficient kinetic energy (which is related to its speed), it can break free from these forces and escape from the liquid.

It depends on what's in the can.

When a particle doesn't have an orderly arrangement.?

then the particle is in substance existing in liquid or gases.

What are the 4 major assumption of the particle model of matter?

There are 4 states of matter in the particle theory but only 3 are taught at keystage 3 and 4 in UK schools (high school level in the US).These three are Solid, Liquid and Gas.The fourth state of matter is plasma.

Why do we need particle model to explain states of matter?

The particle model helps us understand the behavior of matter by representing it as individual particles (atoms or molecules). This model explains how particles move and interact with each other in different states of matter (solid, liquid, gas) based on their energy and arrangement. It provides a fundamental understanding of the structure and properties of different materials.

What model is simplified version of a motion diagram?

A particle model

Explain what happened at the particle's level when a solid dissolves in a liquid?

The particle's level raise a bit higher than usual. The solid gives more weight to the liquid, causing the solid and liquid to have a much larger particle level!!!!!

Ho do the particle in a liquid move?

the particles in a liquid slide around and move about smoothly
